Mike began his sporting career in the eighth grade as an 103# wrestler. In high-school he was a dual letterman. He qualified for states and was named third-team All-Dade in wrestling and while leading his football in sacks (10.5) in only seven games. Mike was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Central Florida where he rotated as a starter at Defensive End his junior and senior year. After graduating he played FB/LB for four years in the Arena Football League winning a championship with the Orlando Predators in 2001.

Mike has competed in several local CrossFit competitions and the 2010 CrossFit Regionals. He also helped coach CrossFit Vida Brickell which qualified for the CrossFit Games in 2011. Mike was one of the pioneers of the South Florida CrossFit movement, when he opened up I Am CrossFit in 2008. He and his then partner, opened six total locations over the next eight years. He is the founder and organizer of the Crush Games, a nationally known fitness competition. In 2011, Mike also launched Formulx supplements which is known for its all-natural, grass-fed whey protein. He spends his time researching and traveling the country attending fitness and general nutrition conferences. Mike is also an eleven year firefighter / paramedic for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. He recently got promoted to Driver Engineer.

Erik Bustillo is the son of Cuban-Colombian immigrants and is a Registered Dietitian. He attended Florida International University in Miami, FL where he earned the Registered Dietitian credential. Additionally, Erik is a Fellow of and a Certified Sports Nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition- ISSN, a Certified Strength Coach, a certified CrossFit level 1 trainer, and a Certified Personal Trainer. He also specializes in reading and understanding blood/lab values that have a direct effect on the human physiology and one's ability to perform. Several fields of expertise are energy improvement, performance recovery, weight loss, working with professional/elite athletes, stress management, and inspirational communication.

He is a world renowned speaker and works closely with military groups, including armed force groups of the United States of America such as the Navy and the Army. One of his passions is educating and he does this on many levels from lecturing for sports teams, to guest lecturing at universities, presenting to tactical athlete groups, and even helping other dietitians and coaches grow in their career.

Erik has experience in clinical research studies and extensive knowledge in medical nutrition therapy. He has contributed to the field of science by being a test subject in studies as well as by helping complete and conduct clinical research studies. Robert Silver

MS, CSC, CPT, SNS, Lecturer, Writer, Mediocre Golfer

A former CrossFit Games competitor and Olympic Weightlifter, Rob left competitive fitness to obtain his Master's Degree in Strength & Conditioning.

He spent two full seasons under longtime University of Miami Strength Coach Andreu Swasey as a Graduate Strength Coach training the Miami Hurricanes Football, Track & Field, Volleyball and Tennis teams. In the process, he had the luck of working with over 30 future NFL players.

After leaving the University of Miami, Rob has worked behind the scenes in the fitness industry, building online courses, certification programs, as well provided national lectures on the topics of Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning. As an Associate Director for the National Council on Strength & Fitness, he leads the charge in managing a wide range of critical customer-facing business interactions. He has spearheaded course development, overseeing certification management, driving B2B operations, and developing marketing strategies to promote the organization's certification, education and advocacy mission and services.

He has shared his expertise in applied exercise physiology and strength and conditioning through lectures and classes. His background spans both the private sector and academic settings, including teaching at state universities and community colleges.

He has been creating workout programs for Competitive Exercisers, Athletes, and general population clients every week since 2010 when he took over I Am CrossFit's (see above) programming team.
