Robert Silver

MS, CSC, CPT, SNS, Lecturer, Writer, Mediocre Golfer

A former CrossFit Games competitor and Olympic Weightlifter, Rob left competitive fitness to obtain his Master's Degree in Strength & Conditioning.

He spent two full seasons under longtime University of Miami Strength Coach Andreu Swasey as a Graduate Strength Coach training the Miami Hurricanes Football, Track & Field, Volleyball and Tennis teams. In the process, he had the luck of working with over 30 future NFL players.

After leaving the University of Miami, Rob has worked behind the scenes in the fitness industry, building online courses, certification programs, as well provided national lectures on the topics of Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning. As an Associate Director for the National Council on Strength & Fitness, he leads the charge in managing a wide range of critical customer-facing business interactions. He has spearheaded course development, overseeing certification management, driving B2B operations, and developing marketing strategies to promote the organization's certification, education and advocacy mission and services.

He has shared his expertise in applied exercise physiology and strength and conditioning through lectures and classes. His background spans both the private sector and academic settings, including teaching at state universities and community colleges.

He has been creating workout programs for Competitive Exercisers, Athletes, and general population clients every week since 2010 when he took over I Am CrossFit's (see above) programming team.

Fun fact, both Mike and Rob started their wrestling careers at 103lbs at age 14. Mike just went on to be a much larger human at 6'3" to Rob's 5'6.75".
